What is Cub Scouting all about?

There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform. Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities

Who is the 1st Sheldon?

For more than seventy years the 1st Sheldon, 144th Birmingham, Scout Group has enabled youngsters in Sheldon to experience the fun and adventure of Scouting. As part of The Scout Association its aim is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The Group caters for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts, covering the age range 6 to 18.
